Ireland’s new supercomputer unveiled

Ireland’s new supercomputer ‘Fionn’ has been unveiled today in Dublin. The machine is operated by ICHEC and located at the Telecommunications Software and Systems Group data centre at the Waterford Institute of Technology. It has 8400 cores, including Intel Ivy Bridge, Intel Phi, and NVIDIA K20x GPUs. Total RAM is 24TB.
